We started using this fairly recently when our shining star Kerry began having some problems. Before we had him, Kerry had been a racehorse and a hunt horse, and always had some small niggles as a result of quite a tough life. He has always been looked after with regular physio and chiropractor, and this has enabled him to be able to compete to Novice level eventing. His canter work has become harder for him lately (he's 16 so age is a factor), and before Christmas our chiropractor (A.P. Equine & Canine McTimoney Chiropractor) said he was holding a lot of tension and was very uncomfortable. We started him on a month of lunging work, but thought he could also benefit from a supplement and so after advise from our Protexin rep started him on Cosequin. The difference in him is incredible. Obviously, we can’t put it all down to Cosequin; he has been on a careful rehabilitation regime and had treatments from the chiropractor, but we think it has made a difference as he can now canter all the way around the arena and circle without skipping or breaking and is back to his old self and feeling spritely! Cosequin is the only joint supplement to contain the patented combination of Glucosamine HCl, Chrondroitin Sulphate and Manganese Sulphate in order to slow the breakdown of cartilage.
